Begging on my hands and fucking knees that Deltarune doesn't end with the Dark World going away or something similar. I need it to break the jrpg trend of the growing up metaphor and leaving the fantasy world behind. Ralsei is the representative of that mentality, that all the Darkners aren't real and that Susie should turn around and make real friends someday. Susie represents the counter-argument that fiction can be real if you treat it as such, and you don't need to grow up from it. She's fully willing to accept the fantasy over reality. When Susie tells Gerson that she wouldn't give the story an ending, he doesn't fully support it, but he doesn't reject the idea either. And I oh so desperately need the game's ending to be somewhere in the middle. That it's a good thing to escape into fantasy every now and then even as you grow up, so long as you don't get lost in it and can still face reality. The setup is these. Please. Mr. Fox my life is in your hands here PLEASE
